The clay shooting competitions once again proved to be one of the highlights of the 2026 GWCT Scottish Game Fair, with competitors travelling to Scone Palace to contest some of the sport’s most respected titles.

Across the weekend, shooters competed in a series of prestigious classes, with impressive performances, close competition and worthy champions crowned in front of spectators.

Sharon Niven Crowned Ladies Champion

The Ladies Championship showcased excellent shooting talent, with Sharon Niven claiming the title and a £1,500 EJ Churchill voucher.

Annabelle Kennedy finished runner-up after an impressive performance.

Joel Ogden Wins the Douglas Frame Memorial Shield

The Douglas Frame Memorial Shield & Browning 525 Open Class was another fiercely contested event, with Joel Ogden taking the title after producing consistent scores throughout the competition.

Sean Hall secured the runner-up position.

Colin Will Claims the Iain Cochrane Quaich

The Iain Cochrane Quaich & Browning 525 Master Class delivered a high standard of shooting, with Colin Will emerging as champion after an outstanding performance.

Stuart Donaldson finished as runner-up following a closely fought competition.

Tom Young Takes the Browning Challenge

One of the weekend’s standout prizes was awarded in the Browning Challenge, where Tom Young earned victory and took home a Browning Maxus.

The competition attracted strong entries and provided an exciting conclusion to the clay shooting programme.

Future Talent Recognised at Scone Palace

The future of the sport was also celebrated, with Harry Green and Bobby Lean recognised as the Junior Up-and-Coming Young Shots for their promising performances.
