If you have always wanted to learn how to fish or develop your fishing skills, then come have a go at the fishing Village. You try a range of activities that will give you all the information you need to get started!
Have A Go
Join us on the banks of the River Tay for 20-minute fly casting lessons, available for both single-handed and double-handed Spey casting. Whether you’re a complete beginner looking to start fly fishing or an experienced angler wanting expert guidance, our fully qualified instructors are here to help. Lessons are just £5.
We offer comprehensive tuition in single-handed casting, as well as all major Spey casting styles including Traditional, Skagit, and Scandi. Our instructors will demonstrate each style, explain where they are best used, and show you how to set up your rod to get the most from your cast. If you’re entering a competition, a short pre-event lesson is a great way to fine-tune your technique.
There’s also fun for younger anglers, with under-12s invited to try Orvis indoor practice rods and cast into hoops, with daily junior prizes sponsored by FishPal. All instructors are certified by leading UK casting organisations, including GAIA, SGAIC, and FFI.
