Fishing has always been a core part of the game fair and considerable effort has been put into reimagining this area, to have more content and contribution from grass roots fishing in Scotland.
Last year GWCT launched a fishing film festival that showcased the wealth of talented film makers in Scotland, and was screened on our outdoor cinema within the fishing area. This year GWCT has taken this a step forward and has partnered with F3T, a world renown fly fishing film festival, which also operates as RISE across continental Europe. Until now, the tour did not operate in the UK.
Dates for film festival showings around the UK will be published soon however, the Scottish Game Fair will be the UK premiere, with our big screen running teasers from these amazing films during the day. Towards the end of each day we will be showing the full film festival film selection. Times for this are

The most exciting aspect of this is our future plans. Next year GWCT will be running a competition for Scottish fly fishing film makers and hope to show the entrants at a number of screenings around Scotland. The finalists will be judged and the winner announced at the Scottish Game Fair 2025, and will be considered for inclusion in the F3T/RISE touring film festival content.
We aim to energise this growing part of our field sports community, placing the Scottish Game Fair at the heart of it.
