The theme of this year’s Central Exhibit is “Sustainable Gamebird Management”, with a focus on GWCT Scotland’s current research programme into gamebird releasing.

This work addresses a key evidence gap in Scotland by developing a robust, Scotland-specific understanding of pheasant and red-legged partridge releasing, including its scale and ecological impacts.

Visitors will learn how our research is supporting the development of proportionate, evidence-based guidance for sustainable gamebird releasing in Scotland, helping to ensure that management practices remain both practical and ecologically responsible.
