Work by Nick Blackmore

Nick Blackmore – Cervidae Designs

Nick grew up in the County Durham countryside surrounded by nature, sparking a love for the countryside and field sports. After school he went to study Countryside Management & Game at the Northern School of Game & Wildlife at Newton Rigg college, Cumbria. He was especially interested in the deer management side of the course saying: “This was the inspiration behind my business name and logo, ‘Cervidae’ being the Latin Genus for Deer.”

After finishing a Level 3 Diploma in Countryside Management & Game, he went on to study Practical Product and Spatial Design at the Cleveland College of Art & Design. He says: “This taught me about technical drawing, which I use as the basis for my art combining it with pointillism, which isn’t a very common form of artwork, especially for wildlife and game.

“I am very happy to undertake commissions, as well as drawing what catches my eye in the countryside.”

Charlotte Marlow

Charlotte Marlow

Charlotte is a pet portrait, equine and British wildlife artist based in Oxford. She works predominantly in coloured pencil and pastel, but also enjoys experimenting with graphite pencil and acrylic ink.

Charlotte hails from rural Perthshire, Scotland, and has always drawn inspiration from the wildlife that surrounds her. She began painting pets and Scottish wildfowl and, following a school exhibition, she received her first pet portrait commission and has been creating them ever since!

Since then, Charlotte’s style has grown and evolved. She has created bespoke brand-work for the National Trust for Scotland, bespoke artwork for All Souls College, Oxford, as well as numerous private commissions. She is now working on a collection of British wildlife art and hopes that this new body of work will encourage others to cherish and protect our wildlife.
