The cost of living crisis is hitting hard in Scotland. The Trussell Trust charity, which provides emergency food and support to people in poverty, reported that its Scottish food banks distributed 259,744 emergency food parcels between 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023,  including almost 90,000 parcels for children. This is the largest amount of food parcels ever distributed in Scotland. Clearly help is crucially needed. Thankfully, Scotland's Regional Moorland Groups (SRMG) and The Country Food Trust (CFT) are working together to tackle food insecurity in the most practical way.
